In these intensive workshops we work for two or five days for five hours each day. This allows sharing of different aspects of the methodology:
movement, gaze and space. It interests me to understand how each of these components could affect the others. The way we approach movement could change our relationship to space, and working with the gaze could modify our way of moving.
Workshop shared by Poliana Lima and Lucas Condro.
Thousands and millions of receptors throughout the body allow us to sense what is happening in the external and internal environment. From there they emit the responses that constitute our interaction with the world.
In this workshop we propose an approach to dance that emphasizes this receiving dimension of the body. This body that perceives, feels and attends to what happens.
We will explore the temporalities and durations that invite the perception of the processes in which the body is touched by things in order to make movement appear from there. Understanding movement as a response to this affectation, in continuous relationship with the world, rather than as an automatic production.
In our workshop together, we would like to consecrate our shared vision and practice of dance: the relationship between observation and movement as a possibility of knowledge.
During my trip to Buenos Aires I will be sharing two intensive weekend workshops.
